Large and In Charge

Peter's good at taking photos, and I'm good at standing there and looking large.  Put them together and this is what you get.  :)  Here are a few recent photos of my ever-growing belly.  3 weeks to go!!  Guess I better buy some diapers.

New Arrival

Look what came in the mail!  :)

We found out in February that we are having a baby!  We can't wait to put our little girl in this crib.  She's expected November 2!  Yay for babies!

Dominican Republic!

Time to play catch-up!  We had a great time in the Dominican!  It was wonderful to just sit and relax with absolutely no agenda for the day.  It was also nice to actually see each other after a brutal 4 years of med school.  :)  

 This is the all-inclusive resort where we stayed. 

We finally made it!  That was a long travel day to get there.

 Any similarities??

What we did every single day.  Ahhhh....

 

 Took the catamaran out a few times.  Gorgeous!  We only tipped over once.  

We pretty much ate and sat on the beach or by the pool the entire time.  Isn't that a perfect vacation?

 

 Crammed into a tiny, deathly boat on our way to para-sail. The para-sailing was awesome, but the boats to and from were terrifying.  Definitely not up to regulation!  The safest we felt on the whole venture was up in the air with our smileyface sail!

 It rained almost every evening, but it didn't matter because it was still so warm. 

 There was a big storm rolling in, but we refused to move.  Everyone else bolted so we had the entire stormy beach to ourselves. 

 Worst part about the trip?  Square toilets!!  Who makes square toilets for round bums?!  So uncomfortable.

Here we are stuck in the Atlanta airport overnight on the way back.  We had flight delays out of Dominican and consequently missed our connection. At least they had Domino's at the airport!  :)

Definitely time to plan our next vacation!!

Vacation Update

We are currently in the Dominican Republic, on a much needed vacation.  We are staying in an all-inclusive resort, and have spent our days relaxing.  

Just wanted to update everyone and post a picture of what we have been doing.

And this has been the extent of our first five days here,  we post a more detailed report when we get home.

Cutie Pie

Just got back from Boston helping with this new little cutie.  I LoVe my nieces and nephews and was so excited to spend a week with some of them!  Welcome, baby Emma!  :D

Viva Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas with a big group of friends and had a blast.  We stayed at the Cosmopolitan and loved it.  We have never stayed at this hotel before, but we were only able to because we bunked up with another couple.  :)  But they were great roommates.

 "The Peppermill" restaurant has decor that is so crazy old, but the food is amazing.  We hit it once with our friends Andrea and Adam and had to try it again.  It looks like a pink and purple explosion in there with tons of fake trees and shiny metal.  Sounds lovely, right?

But this is how french toast is supposed to look!  Mmmmm.

 Waiting to see the outdoor show at Treasure Island......totally not worth it, but fun to make fun of.

 Ate at this amazing Brazilian place that had the best service and meat ever.  We all rolled out of there.  I also finished off a large pellegrino all by myself.  Wo.  I love sparkling water.

 Our friends scored affordable tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil's "O". It was so awesome. 

 My favorite hotel is still The Paris, so we had to stop by on our way our for some delicious crepes.  Next time I'm definitely getting the nutella and banana one.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas......'nuff said.  :)
