Wedding

My friend Jen got married last weekend, so I was able to fly up to SLC for her wedding. It was great to see her again! It was also a good excuse to see some family and friends over the quick weekend trip.

Candace stopped by one night for some long-awaited 'girl' time. Yay for grape cream slushes! I'm pretty sure it helped you win your race!

Amy (previous roommate) met me downtown right before the wedding for some delicious mac'n'cheese! ahhhhhhh yah!

Met up with Whitney (also worked with her in the OR) and husband Luke at the wedding. It was a little chilly waiting for the bride and groom!

Jen looked GORGEOUS! Ryan didn't look too bad, either. :)

Loved her hair!

Such a cute family! I can't believe you just had a baby, Whitney! You look amazing as always.

Stopped by to see my friends Lisa and Mike and new baby Jaxson! I'm so glad it worked to stop by in between wedding festivities!

At the reception in Deer Valley, they had sleigh rides for the guests.

Puzzle Race Girls vs Boys. The boys won, but I think they had a slight advantage....

My niece and I enjoying some ice cream.

Mom showing me how to use the coolest apple peeler! Mmmm....apple crisp.

Of course it was too quick, but it was fun to get away for the weekend. One of these times Pete will have to come with me.... :)

It ain't no Puyallup Fair, but.....

There is a church across the street from our complex that hosts a small carnival every year. This last weekend a group of us went to check out the rides.

First stopped by Famous Dave's for some grub. Wo.....that's a lot of food!

Here we are ready for ride number 1 on the "Super Loop". Uh.....did anyone bring dramamine?

The group that (barely) survived the ride.

Pete was feeling so brave and elected to do the ride again. To see what he looked like afterward, see below:

Made me miss the good ol' Puyallup Fair!!

Pete's Best Valentine's Day Ever!

Pete really lucked out this Valentine's Day. We both worked the weekend, but still decided to exchange a gift. I have been wanting to replace his old smelly bike jersey for years and decided it was time. I found a Utes one for clearance online and figured he might as well show some school pride.

Since the jersey was such a good deal, I figured another idea was in order. So, being me, I started racking craigslist for ideas weeks ahead of time. Pete has been wanting a new bike computer, and I found a sweet Garmin listed for a fraction of the price.....almost brand new.

Then, of course, Pete mentions again how nice it would be to have a newer bike. So I thought...hmmm...I wonder what I can find on craigslist. Found a sweet Felt that had only been used for <50 miles. Talked the guy into selling it for practically nothing. It had been sitting around for 2 years and he just wanted to get rid of it. SOLD!! :)

Pete was stoked. We were able to sell Pete's old bike on craigslist for way more than we thought.....which made the new purchase even cheaper! Pete was sad to see it go, though. It was a great bike!
